Heater
I have a old 12 volt heater for a golf cart.
I hooked it up to a battey and it pull a lot of power from it. Does any one have any ideals on how it would work on a gas cart? Would it pull the battey down when running the moter? |
Re: Heater
i would think it should be fine as long as you dont stay parked with the heater on for a long period. my stereo kills my batt if im not moving but i have no problems as long as i cruise around

Re: Heater
What size fuse should I use? 30amp 50amp?

Re: Heater
I have run a stereo on my gas powered cart for a couple hours & it still starts fine. Seems like it should be fine while the cart is running & for short stops.

Re: Heater
Thanks
I have a 1000 cold craking amp battey. I will hook it up soon. |
Re: Heater
If you know the wattage of the heater devide by 12 volts. The result is the amperage the heater will draw. You will have to size the fuse and the wire accordingly.

Re: Heater
Bud Light,
Are you running a car battery or a deep cell? I would use a deep cell if i had a heater in it. They can handle the draw a little better than a car starting battery. Just my .02! jon |
Re: Heater
Car battery. I hope the gen. will run it ok. Will not leave it on when not runing. Do you think that would work?
Thanks for your input .45acp because shooting twice is silly. |
