1970 D crank bearing help please

I split my crankcase today to see if my fan side seal was bad (it is)
I'm thinking while I have it apart I will change the bearings out. I'm confused about which bearing that I need. I know what I need on the clutch side, but the fan side has me a little puzzled. Currently I have 2 different looking bearings on that side. The outer one is sealed, but the inner one looks different. When I go to order new ones, do I order 2 of the same sealed bearings, or do I need two different ones? Also, as far as the seal goes, I am seeing "crankshaft seal" and also "oil seal ignition side" both of them show the year that my cart is. Do I need 1 of each of those?
Thanks for any help

The bearings on the fan side should be the same size. I have no idea what "looks different" means. Seems like the last ones I used were sealed both sides but they could have been replaced at one times with or without seals. If you are looking at two different places for the fan side seal get the part number and it probably should be the same as the ignition side seal. In other words I see no engine parts diagram with 2 fan side oil seals. However I do see a cam seal in the fan housing which may be what you are referring to. Please send photos or refer to a parts list page or service manual.

I appreciate the help. These are the 2 bearings that look different to me. They are the same size, but I'm not sure that they are the same bearings.

As far as the seals go, they are from the same website. Attachment 143101

Re: 1970 D crank bearing help please

I will need to go to my shop tomorrow and measure my crank since I do not remember the exact relation of the seals to bearings on the fan side. The inside bearing may not have a seal on the inside so the fuel can lubricate it. but I think I just use sealed bearings. On my last engine the crankcase seals were the same also. The seal # 12101 is the clutch side seal but I will need to measure the crank to see if it is the same on the other side. Maybe some members with a better memory can help sooner.

Bearings on the fan side are 6204-2RS . The oil seals are the same both sides of the crankcase. remember spring side faces the inside of crank case. The oil seals are National 471733. The ignition point seal rarely is bad so I almost never change them out. I can make you a sweet package deal on the 2 seals required and the 2 6204-2RS bearings. PM me if interested.

Also in your photo of the bearing there should of been a crank seal THEN the bearing. Was yours missing??

No, the seal was there.
It was in pretty bad shape, which is what I was hoping for.
I had previously changed the clutch side seal, so the cart ran great in reverse.
But in forward I hade to constantly choke it.
