2018 48V Drive2?

Just purchased this off lease cart and did some mods. Lights, tires & wheels, and backseat. Also, the dealer I got it from sped it up to 19 mph.. tough part is I’m about 330 lbs and if I have several other folks on here with me it’s slow around the neighborhood. Especially up some of our small hills. Anybody have any ideas to fix that? Thanks for your help!

Yes there is definitely ways to fix it! Is it a DC or AC cart? If it’s AC it should have a sticker on the side. If it’s AC your best bet is a new controller from Navitas. If it’s DC then call don plowman of https://www.plowmanscarts.com/ and he’ll get you set up right 😁👍

Oh yeah but either way you’ll need bigger cables!

Don't get to disappointed if you don't get a quick response, seems like there is some lag on a lot of these threads. The forum isn't as busy as some others I've been a part of. If it's an off lease fleet cart it was probably a DC but definitely need to confirm then there's all kinds of options to hop it up, all depends on how much you want to spend.

Seems like an upgraded controller and wiring is the first step then depending on the controller you can change out the motor as well. I've got a similar cart and from what I've learned you can update the controller to a 400amp with the factory motor and be ok as long as your gentle but if you've got hills and a heavy load I'm sure that would affect things a fair amount.

Don Plowman seems to be the go to guy for these things.

The stock controller is garbage on these models. Call Don Plowman and he'll fix you up with a Alltrax XCT controller and motor upgrade
