Ride quality with lithium

I have a 17 Club Car Precident, 4 place with rear facing back seat, 6” All Sports Lift, 23 x 10.5 x 12 Steeling 23 turf tires aired to 16 psi. Lift, back seat, and HD springs were done by the dealer when I Purschased it. Car is onl6 used on the street in south Florida, never off road. Well the ride with 2 people is absolutely punishing stiff, slightly better with 2 more in the back, still very stiff.
I am getting ready to replace LA batteries with lithium, I cannot imagine how much stiffer it will be once I loose 300 lbs of batteries.
What have others done to improve ride quality when going to lithium?

My cart is a bit on the heavy side to begin with (fiberglass body and glass windshield) , I run only 8psi in my tires. Only run on rocky dirt roads and it is not bad.

I removed the shocks and ride on just single leaf springs that came on mine. Rides 100% better as a result.

I removed a leaf from the heavy duty springs. It's acceptable.

Lower your tire pressure and remove a spring from the HD rear leafs.

16psi is pretty tight. I’d lower it to 8-10

Thank you, I am willing to try anything, how do I go about removing a spring from the HD rear spring? I did not want to loose any speed and so have tires at 16, I will lower the PSI tomorrow, now how to remove a leaf from the spring

IMO 16psi is as low as you should go - especially if driving on pavement.

Respectfully I’ll have to disagree. The steeling 23 turf tires are 4 ply and rated around 1300lbs per tire at 20psi. The entire golf cart doesn’t weigh 1300lbs...

The only way to know for sure is the chalk test. But that’s a lot of tire for a light machine.

Re: Ride quality with lithium

Today I started to take apart the leaf springs, I took off the rear shocks, some people say not to use the shocks with HD springs, I will try that once I put it back together.
The leaf spring is made of 3 segments, the upper leaf is the full one that fastens at front and rear to the cart frame, the next segment is a Lou half the length of the full leaf, and the last is shorter still and considerably thicker metal than the other two. The first and second leafs are banded together to each other but the much shorter bottom leaf is not banded. Not sure how to seperate the leafs apart but I have to still remove the spring from the cart.
Many other HD springs I have seen are made up of 4 leafs, mine is 3, would I remove the shortest leaf to soften up the ride? Wish I knew how to post a photo of the leaf spring
