Re: cc gas crank case pressure?
My flathead engine has a crankcase vent tube, I guess if it were to get plugged or kinked it would cause that problem, i'm not familiar with the OHV venting but that would be the direction I would be looking in.

Re: cc gas crank case pressure?
If the crankcase vent is open and clear and your still building enough pressure to blow the dipstick the rings are gone is all I can fathum, unless your overfilling the case with oil, or something is still restricted with the vent, if not the tube then either in the vlave cover nipple or case nipple.
I have a heavily modified V8 that spears the dipstick on a hard run, I attached a carburetor return spring to keep it out of the fan for now. |
Re: cc gas crank case pressure?
So you are absolutely 100% sure that the OIL level not too high ,
(No one swapped dip sticks on it ). The rubber around the dip stick is not worn, broke or missing ? |
Re: cc gas crank case pressure?
With the rings being gone, wouldnt it smoke or run bad?? The thing runs great and no smoke...plenty of power..??

Sooo , when did it start doing this ? |
Re: cc gas crank case pressure?
would anyone have added oil to it besides you ? I don't know much and will be the first to tell you that, but as someone else posted too much oil could cause that and is really the only thing I can think of if your vent system is right.
