1991 Club Car Starting Problem
 
Have a 1991 Gas Club Car that just receintly started having a issue
"Sometimes" when I step on gas peddle ,nothing happens ,wont turn over. If I rock the cart 1 inch it will turn over and fire no problem. The belt is not slipping, has new battery, new brushes in starter.
Any ideas??

Try putting a screwdriver over the solenoid to start the cart rather than the pedal the next time it won't start. Make sure it's in maintenance mode of course.

What is this maintenance mode I keep hearing? Not sure I know what that is on my 91

Look under the seat, at the back side of the shifter.
There will be a white plastic cam, you can pull it outward, it's spring loaded, then rotate it 180 degrees and let it pop back into place.
You can now start the cart in neutral.

On my '87 the plastic cam is yellow, but yeah that's an exact description of it. :thumbup:
