DS290 Carburetor Adjustment Problem
I have recently gone through this engine, replaced fly wheel, rpm limiter, accelerator cables/governor cable, adjusted accelerator and brake pedal according to Club Car spec's. Adjusted governor arm all the way, full throttle for proper rpm's.
Cart starts hard and govenor goes up and down. Carburetor coughs. Accelerator pedal is hard to control at a low speed, wants to run high. Have another club car just like it, with no problems. Has to be something simple, hopefully. Any ideas or suggestions???????? Thanks for your help, Barry |

Re: DS290 Carburetor Adjustment Problem
Removed carburetor and adjusted the butterfly. It was bent, now the cart runs smoothly. However, when you stop, it wants to diesel before actually turning off.
Any suggestions? |

Re: DS290 Carburetor Adjustment Problem
My old 92 club car had the exact same problems. I cleaned the carb out and it ran decent but would still diesel. I replaced it with a brand new carb and never had anymore problems. I think one could be had for 90 bucks on ebay.
