87 Marathon won't crank

OK, here is the deal, this MUST be something simple and easy. I put a plow blade on the front of my cart. I just finished running the wires under the cart, ground to the frame where the ground from battery and to engine is, and the positive to the battery side of the solenoid. No big deal right, just 2 wires. Well, now my cart will not crank! LOL! :lhmo::help: I looked and the solenoid location is rather hard to get to and see, and I noticed a wire disconnected, one that goes to the forward/reverse switch, (heavy like a battery cable) So I figure "Oh, I must have not noticed it fall off when I put my winch wire on there" So I put it on, and still no crank. I took an LED test light and I have power everywhere. Every lug on the starter/generator tests hot, every wire on the solenoid test hot, every wire (3) on the regulator tests hot, key on or key off! I am thinking maybe a ground issue. I know it is about impossible to DX something like this on the web, but anyone have any ideas? I was going to mess with it more today, but my alarm went off and I had a dr appt I had forgotten about ! (Oops!), and tomorrow it is supposed to rain, so probably later Saturday before I can mess with it.
Oh, and if anyone has a wire diagram, that would be really helpful!
TIA!

After spending a few minutes looking at this diagram, I think I see my problem, and as suspected it is a ground problem. That wire I connected to the battery side of the solenoid looks like it belongs on ground. :lhmo:
Well, I have to go get my "dunce" cap fitted! Thanks for the help! (but I do feel like a moron now! LOL!)
Your help much appreciated!

Yep that was the problem! I had a wiring diagram for a different EZGO and it showed that wire connected to + but on mine it needs to be grounded. Many thanks for the diagram, have it printed out and in my book, and saved on the computer!
