Sluggish cart

1990 ezgo seems motor is winding up but the cart just goes about 5 miles a hour not really getting up to speed any thoughts ?

Sounds like clutch function no workie....
Is it the correct belt?

Yes I checked the belt first with it on jack stands the tire really gets going but with a load it just chugs along

Check your compression and also the width of the belt. Remove teh seat and sit on a board while you observe the clutches operate. Verify that the driven is closing all the way and that the driven is opening.

Ok Ill try it tomorrow when light whats compression suppose to be ?
