Club Car DS no torque

Hi,
I have an electric club car DS 2006 and absolutely love it. It is not raised or anything and clocks in at about 16mph (I wish it would go a bit faster but it doesn't).
The problem I have is that it used to go up hills really fast but now it crawls up. I had this problem before and a repair man slid underneath and appeared to do something with the pedals and fixed it. I think he may have adjusted the height of the accelerator pedal but I don't actually know.

Any thoughts as to why I have lost torque, can this be repaired by adjusting the accelerator pedal ? If so, are there instructions anywhere ?

Thanks
Terry

Could you tell us a little more about the cart? I'm pretty sure it is a 48 volt. Age and condition of the batteries? Drive system?

Hi, it is a 48V golf cart.

I got the batteries about 3 years ago, I think they are in pretty good shape.

Not sure about the drive system, how do I work that out ?

Probably worn MCOR drive bar. Fix is posted here.

Read the very first post on the page linked here...(it's actually post #11 on page 2, but the link is right to it.)

Hi swm63, wow that did the trick. When I went to check I saw that someone had already done that but it had started cracking. I added a new piece and replaced everything. Works great now! Goes up hills like a rocket and can sustain 18mph. Excellent!
Thanks again!
