Voltage Reducer/ Battery Gauge
First of all, thanks to everyone on this site for all the massive information that is shared!
I just installed 2 post battery meter today (thanks to info I have gotten on this site) in my new '03 TXT. Hooked positive terminal to Key switch and negative terminal to negative post on #6 battery. This being the first day I have driven it I guess it works correctly! My question is, since it is a 36 volt charge indicator will I have to change it out when I decide to install voltage reducer, (for future install of radio, horn and light kit with blinkers). The reason I ask this is the charge meter I assumes runs on 36v and after I install voltage reducer that will make my system see 12v for meter and accessories, correct? Thanks! Mark. |
Re: Voltage Reducer/ Battery Gauge
No because the Key will still be seeing 36 volts. The reducer is a completely seperate circuit.
