Cart wont go Forward......
First off, thanks to everyone for the help here.
I just got done putting the Allsports SS lift on and went to crank it up. First, maint mode doesnt seem to function on this car. Second, it runs just fine in reverse, but when I move the switch to forward, nothing.... any ideas what I should look at?? |
Re: Cart wont go Forward......
When I did my lift it broke the ground strap to the starter, and it was stretching/pinching the fuel lines. You will need to use 8ga wire to make a longer ground strap and the fuel lines are 1/4". And I didn't take my brake lines off or remove the hangers at first and it made the brakes drag very hard after the lift install

Is your break cables tight ??

Re: Cart wont go Forward......
To fix the brakes I removed the hangers and loosened the main adjuster under the cart a touch. I can almost bet your ground strap on the starter broke

Re: Cart wont go Forward......
the cart rolls pretty freely, and it does fire up and roll out fine in reverse. I did extend both the fuel and both ground straps. However, the front ground was already broken so I just ran it from the frame to a bolt on the motor. Is that where its supposed to go?

Re: Cart wont go Forward......
Im kinda new to this, but could it be one of the microswitches? Near the shifter lever, i had my lever come loose, move in just enough that the cam wouldnt hit one of the switches. Like i said, im pretty new to this but learning

Re: Cart wont go Forward......
I would check all the wires and connections, I also had to cut a cable tie holding some wires in loom going by the drivers rear leaf spring because it was stretching pretty tight

Re: Cart wont go Forward......
Found it! Since I didnt have the F/R switch mounted, the lever was pushed into the switch and not making contact.....duh

Re: Cart wont go Forward......
Glad you got it figured out. Now do me a favor and look at the back end and see if it seems that one leaf spring is sagging. After my lift my drivers side rear saggs a little.
