Isolation Resistance code 29 error running accessories
Help!
I have a 2018 Tempo Lithium. Power reducer hooked up to B- on the controller and the Solenoid. Ran fine until a soundbar and UCB charger was installed. Now is gets the Isolation Resistance code 29 and shuts the cart down at random.. Anyone else see this? Could you share what resolves this? Thank you in advance. |

Sorry if notification of this response gets your hopes up, but all I can tell you is you're not alone. I have a friend who is encountering this exact same issue only after installing a soundbar in a customer's Club Car Tempo Lithium. Did you ever figure anything out? Even local Club Car dealers haven't been able to help.

Where are you seeing that error message? Did you make any adjustments on the app?

Here is a SWAG. When you added your soundbar and UCB charger did you use the chassis for ground? The commons should all go back to the battery.

Re: Isolation Resistance code 29 error running accessories
Very important! Nothing can be grounded to the chassis in an electric cart!

Re: Isolation Resistance code 29 error running accessories
Check if any exposed wires are touching the chassis/frame/anything metal. As others have stated, unlike a car, the frame cannot be used as ground.

Re: Isolation Resistance code 29 error running accessories
Thank you for the responses. Why do I feel like im the very first to do this?..
Nothing is grounded or touching the chassis. My journey led me to a friend who is a club car mgr who told me to get the club car power reducer relay and fuse, activate then thru the app and we should get 12v out of the leads below the "fuse box" and we should be good to go. Confirmed with another club car dealer also NO such luck. Grr. Now getting "Main DC/DC Failure" Checked the power converter and the fuse is still good. Power is going in but not coming out. "Is it dead out of the box?" Thought about ordering another for $400 to see but at this point I'm done w it.. Called them back and shared he then had no clue and "has to see it". So be it.. Way too much time has been burned on this rubick cube and its getting sent to club car to get sorted out. Done w it.. ridiculous. Ill post the resolution when I hear it.. |
Re: Isolation Resistance code 29 error running accessories
A lot of times you need a programmer to enable certain things in the controller on a lithium cart to run accessories. That's what I've been hearing through the grapevine for Club Cars...

I guessing that they will tell you that it is working as designed and that it is your fault because you added those accessories. Let us know.

Re: Isolation Resistance code 29 error running accessories
So it came back from Club Car Dealer. Lights worked. Then "shhhhhhhhhpop!" power shut down. When you turn on the high beams
Sound bar worked untill it got turned up. Then "shhhhhhhhhpop!" power shut down. Not getting very many amps. Back to the dealer it goes.. smh.. |
