Stripped out hubs.

I'm seeing quite a few posts on this! When you change your hub should you put grease or never seize on the splines? I would think this would help, but I'm not sure. Thanks guys!

Re: Stripped out hubs.

a small amount of either. preferably anti sieze.used to work at a natural gas pumping station, and the advice was to either use anti sieze or loctite on every bolt.

Re: Stripped out hubs.

There are two main issues that cause stripped out hubs... 1. Not getting the torque correct on the hub nut. 2. Hubs made with cheap material.

The service manual says 75-140lbs of torque, never ever back it off, to get the cotter pin in.
