Motor swap
 

Hey all. I'm new to the site. I have some questions, I recently bought a snowmobile for the motor to put in a cart. I'm leaning twords a 1990 ez-go. A friend of mine has an 81 with a blown motor, my question is could he use my motor out of the 90? Any input is appreciated.

Sorry lol I'm looking at a 1990 to buy because I want to put a snowmobile motor in it, but my buddie has a 1980 with a blown motor and I was wondering if I did buy the 1990 could he use the motor out of it since his 1980 is blown up?

I believe that before 1989 all the motors ran backwards and after 1989 they run like any other normal motor.

So if this is the case no on giving your buddy your motor as a drop in unless you give him the whole rear suspension and motor cradle.

If anyone has a larger four stroke motor swap for the pre 1989 ezgo cart please let me know.
