slow speed hickup surge skips a beat

Cleaning up a 2000 Yamaha G19 today batteries one year old, pack voltage is 50.8 cart seems to run fine except when at slow speed like pulling into the garage to park or when letting the cart roll away to test the roll away. In both situations it feels like a quick flip of the switch off then on just a skips a beat. No noises or clicking associate with it just not smooth. Ant thoughts?
