http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-y...mance-kit.html This cart has gone thru a lot of changes since '13. Same lift and wheels, but different tires. The U-Max spring--which works just fine--gave way to the Plowmans Performance Kit. Don's secondary, along with his belt, air filter, air box mods and jets really woke up the stock cart. But after a few years I wanted more. Enter the Hot Setup. Adding the high flow exhaust and bored/re-jetted carb to the Performance Kit is definitely a step or two up. There is a noticeable increase power and acceleration. The exhaust has a more throaty sound without being loud or annoying, and I'm impressed with the machine work on the carb. Very professional. The cart cruises nicely at 26-30mph, with a top speed on the flat at 33+ mph. It probably would go faster, but that's unnecessary. This whole package has put a smile on my face:mrgreen::thumbup: And thanks to Don for the great customer service over the years. |
Re: 2003 G22 -- Plowmans Hot Setup
I just received my Plowman's performance kit this week, haven't installed it yet. I may get a reworked carb, if it doesn't have enough giddyup.

Please excuse my ignorance and stupid questions. Is your oiling system still stock? I have the governors set wide open on both of mine and am very cautious not to let them "over rev" going down our hills around here as I don't want them to exceed the non-pressureized system capabilities. |
Re: 2003 G22 -- Plowmans Hot Setup
The engine is all stock, except for the carb, air box mods, and exhaust. There is no difference in the appearance of the engine compartment.

Re: 2003 G22 -- Plowmans Hot Setup
An aluminium connecting rod, no bearings shells and splash oiling on a steel crank shaft doesn't bode well for extended upper rpm usage. A lot of G16 and up carts for sale with broken engines have had rod failure.
