Thanks for the input. I thought it was after 96 where they changed engine rotation which made it tougher to change out an engine if you wanted. At least I think that was what I read.

But I'm thinking in order to get up the big hill we have, it will need some help. Especially if it has the smaller motor. My workhorse makes it up, but without the smaller belt we're crawling by the time we get to the top. Before I top the hill it downshifts, if that's what you'd call it on a cart, to get more power to finally make it. So it seems to me if I go the club cart road, I'll need to be able to get more low end power.
