Does it matter which style is solenoid you use in a 2000 club car? I see there is one that is from --- to 1988, one from 1998-2000 and one from 2000 to current.

The one I have looks like the first 2 options with the small posts opposite each other. The third option has the 2 small posts next to each other. If I can use the third style do I still need to connect the small posts with the diode?

Actually hoping to use the first option.
