I have been following this thread. My 1997 (clockwise rotation I believe) had the A2 terminal to the braided ground strip. I have recently purchase a new starter generator. Should I switch the A1 and A2 terminal to have the A1 terminal go to ground? like the schematic showed at the beginning of this thread, or should I keep it the same.

I am trying to fix a delay in starting - microswitches operate and then there is a few seconds delay before the starter tuns over. Could a A1 to A2 switch help this problem?
