8v batteries after they have been charged and left resting for more than an hour need to be at least 8.49v to be considered 100% charged.
8.49v x 6 = 50.94v is 100% charged pack.
Your battery charger will likely push the whole 48v battery bank to between 59v and 61v before it shuts off. After resting is will settle down to around 51v, anything less and the batteries are probably no good already.
