yeah... My cart is pretty "Bone Jarring" also!
2 things you can do...
1) the leafs ARE removable, you can take out 1 or 2 leafs by removing the center allen screw and nut,
BUT... you'll have to reshape the 2... what's the word... "spring clamps" on each side to accomidate the missing leafs.
OR...

IF you still have your old leaf springs, Cart Parts Plus has helper leafs...
