if you keep it 36v, your biggest problem is the resistor (unless you have a speed control 36v, which is pretty rare). The car will go about 12 mph, and thats it, until you upgrade.. By doing so you will be drawing more power through the resistor, v-glide, and f/r switch creating weak points.. If all you want is a car to go from point a to b, at a decent speed, then leaving it be will be fine... If you want, lifted, fast, or powerful; then it is highly advised to switch to a 48v system, or even a 36v system with a speed control.
