Yeah, I had to cut some notches too in order to get the sending unit to fit down there.

So far, mine is still working great, and not leaking. I didn't put in a relay like yours, but it hasn't drained the battery yet. Had it on all night a couple of times and it still started.

I like how it looks at night, very easy to read. Looking at your dash has me thinking of buying that glovebox door kit.
