I know this is a old post but I'm doing this in my g9 with a clone swap and having a issue. When the alternator wire to the battery is hooked up the engine will not start it pops an cracks an back fires through the carb. If I disconnect the alternator wire from the alternator it starts and runs great. Does anyone have any idea what the problem is.
