Well a whole lot of us on the island here keep cans of staring fluid around and use it to check all sorts of non starting engines out. I know not the ideal situation BUT haven't hurt anything yet and does show if there is ignition
Also great for getting new lawn tractor and golf cart tires beaded up. Again not the factory recommended way to do it. I feel naked if I don't have at least 3 cans in stock. P.S. Ray's victims so far Both golf carts with either engine, every lawn mower I ever owned, every lawn tractor I have ever owned, along with chain saws, edgers, weed wackers, rototillers, chipper shredders, outboards, a couple of old generators and whole lot of hot rod engines and all sorts of cycles. P.P.S. I would not do it on modern FI engine.
