I've also had a couple carburetors that the needle and seat are fine, but leak gas past the o-ring that seals the plastic seat assembly into the carb body. If I held the float closed and blew into the fuel inlet I could hear air escaping between the seat and aluminum. Good luck getting it out of there though, dont think they're meant to be removed.
