Default Re: Electric Motor

I'm guessing not very many have attemted to repair a motor.

I got an email from someone at EMP (Electrical Motor Products) after I told them that I thought the S2 connection maybe loose in the motor. I had issues removing the nut to change out the cable and then the cart would not go in reverse. EMP said "If it is the S2 then you can not repair that yourself. The terminal stud needs to be welded on the field coil." Does that sound right to anyone? Also, is the S2 connection the one involved in making the cart go in reverse?
