well, plastidip was great for the commitment-phobe like myself. I wasn't sure how I would like it, so instead of paint...I used the spray can plastidip where I could peel it back off if I changed my mind. I posted something on it under the "Design Center" somewhere. But its definitely temporary, they say a year to 18 months max on the finish before it starts peeling/scuffing pretty good. So if you are certain you want to paint...just use paint IMO
