Well I didn't think it was related to the throttle micro switch or throttle cable, but I was wrong. I tried everything I knew with the carb. then I started checking the switch and cable as suggested and figured out that the piece that contacts the micro switch was out of adjustment and was killing the engine. I re-adjusted it and the thing runs like a top
