I tried every combo on my workhorse. the 28 machined for a lower gear and stock belt works best .... of course the extra low end torque will cost a couple of mph at the top end.... Depends on what type of driving you are going to be doing most?
It is easy to slow down 2-3 mph on a straight away but, it's real hard to push a golf cart up a hill
