If these batteries were frozen during the winter, they're done and you will need new ones.
Maybe your dealer will help you out by getting you a new set of batteries.
If he told you not to recharge until the batteries were almost dead he was WRONG and maybe needs a little education himself. He's not the only one either, some dealers and techs have been advising this to customers for years.
Even the Tomberlin manual states that the cart is to be charged after each use and should never be left discharged.
