If you take the line off the carb, it should spurt out each revolution of the engine (on the starter, take proper caution handling gasoline of course). Open hose will spurt a few inches out or something, but way more fuel than that engine will ever need. Look for cracks in the lines and clean that valve on the side of cylinder in pulse hose of pump. Make sure you put back in the same direction its a one way valve. It is very common at this age for these lines to crack and leak and need replacement, but they are not expensive or difficult to do.

The other issue is the airbox. It must be closed up tight and stock to run right. If you mod the box or the ill fitting top is not on there just right it will leak and change the mixture. Just one of those things about these carts. The rubber pulls are not expensive, you can replace the hook with a bolt through the box, or bungee the top down if you need to. Or like I did, pull the silencer out of the front of airbox then ream the main jet out with a torch tip cleaner until it runs right.

Also run the NGKbprs2es (or whatever it is) plug they use in newer yami carts, it resists fouling much better.
