Well, I'm not mixing them...previous owner did. ;) The second diagram you posted was what I first printed out and was expecting. But this controller didn't have the A2 blade on it or a run/tow switch. He only had about 25 working volts, so hopefully he didn't smoke anything. New solenoid also.

So what is actually supposed to go on the two large posts on the solenoid? The controller wires and diode are on the smaller posts currently.

Does this 250 ohm / 5w resistor physically go in a break between the B+ and + battery hookup?
