Remove both rear hubcaps if you have them on your wheels. Then raise the rear wheels off the ground. Have someone rotate one wheel while you hold the other still. Look at the center axle nut when doing the test, and the side that spins when the other is rotated has a stripped brake drum assy.
You can also check the axle nut for secureness. If one side's axle nut moves against the cotter pin then it is that side that is striped

Here's a picture of one I'm currently working on. I had a gray market tractor doing the same thing. The previous owner JB Welded it in place. I think I'll go ahead and buy a new drum.
