. Re your switch question; No, if you have a spark at the correct time and gas/air is present the engine should fire right up. Sorry to sound a bit vague here but is the engine firing at all or just spinning over ? From what you have described it seems like the engine wash has caused something to go down but with spark and fuel present I can't for the life of me think what else might be causing this so lets get back to the beginning. Cart was running fine before you gave her a bath and then refused to start yes ? No poor running, backfires etc prior to the wash ?
