So it's only been a year but figured I'd leave a note on what the issue was.

It was a corroded ignition assembly. I had left it out in the rain (the cart is normally in the garage) and water must have gotten into the ignition assembly area. When removing, there was a short on the ignition housing leads. So thankfully, it was an easy and cheap fix.
