This is what I used: Gardner Bender Steel Crimp Connector, 18-10AWG
(you can also get them in Copper)

I got it at Home Depot, but any big box store should have them.

I would use a Dremel tool with a cutting wheel to cut the old one off. Mine was so worn, it actually had a slot worn in it.

Take your time and the project will go fine. It is not a perfect fix, but it made a big difference in my old cart.
