Very basic carb design you have. You can remove it and carefully disassemble it and not need a kit.
The only time you would need a kit is if the needle diaphram is damaged.
Pay attention to how the parts like jets, needle and spring come out, what side of the diaphram goes toward the needle pivot arm.
Before you remove the mixture screws, turn them in as you count turns so you can put them back at the same adjustment.
Look closely for small jets inside the carb body, they need to come out too.
I've found taking pictures with a cell phone is the easiest way to recall them for reassembly.
Don't be araid to take notes and pics.
If it is real gummed up or varnished you might need to get a gallon of "gunk" brand carb cleaner, even comes with a little basket from your local auto parts store.
Soak everything but the rubber parts for couple of hours (needle maybe 15 mins only)and then rinse with water, then blow out with air.
I suggest water first so you don't breath the atomized cleaner or blow carb cleaner on anything, it removes paint as well.
While soaking check fuel tank for any trash or water and clean it also.
