Thanks for everyone's help. As I was loosening the U bolts I remembered that the alignment bolts supplied by Jakes were just a bit looser in the hole than I expected, but no big deal, I was able to realign the drive train to center the snubber bracket, tighetn the U bolts, jack up the front of the engine a bit, remove the bracket, slide on the snubber, reinstall the bracket/snubber, lower the jack and life is good.

It's amazing how much quieter the engine is with the snubber in place.
