After cleaning off the crud on my OEM solenoid there is a little diode on it.
So, like the magnetic blowout design it's not the solenoid contacts or the activation coil that have polarity.
Having a diode soldered on it or a magnetic blowout circuit determines the polarity of the assembly.

My pic is the 2017 Onward OEM solenoid. Similar to your pic, but not exactly. I cannot find a small diode between the two small terminals nor a "+" stamped into the solenoid. I am installing an Alltrax 48-400 contoller and need to know if I should install the diode included with the controller on the larger terminals after removing the resistor currently installed. Also, does this solenoid need another diode installed between the two smaller terminals or does this solenoid have an internal diode.
