Default Fairplay 08 -48 v cart shuts down when to much throttle

Hi, i recently bought a 2008 Fairplay cart. It's 48 volt. So when I bought this I was aware the batteries were age of cart, as well of this below issue. I didn't know that these Fairplay carts were not that common, as well as so little info online.
Anyways here's my issue/ story; this cart will cut out( shut down) when accelerating more than 30-50 percent of throttle. It has to be reset by flipping the run / tow switch, then it would go again?!🙄 I have put new batteries, as they were at end of life. After these were changed, still had same issue. I just finished testing the curtis electronic foot pedal. When i tested the ohm, it seemed to go from 0 to just over 5( didn't see anything strange with this, if i tested right?) . If anyone can offer me any ideas, or if someone has seen something in their travels I would really appreciate any assistance with this. I truly just can't find anything online yet that points me in good direction. thanks in advance!
