You need to figure out what you want to use the cart for. If it is anything more demanding than golf or a campground queen then you need to upgrade the speed control, solenoid, cables, and in your case the motor. I know that sounds like a lot of parts but look at the bright side - you got it cheap and you'll have a whole new drive system
