Took the 2001 dash of today. 7 rivets across the top. 2 on the sides holding the mat in(4 total). 7 or 8 on the "bottom" of the dash(under the top of the mat. plus 2 tree push rivets in each glovebox.
Did not need to remove the rocker panel.
