The speed switch on this electric golf cart consists of a series of 6 copper contacts arranged in an arc, and one moveable contact that slides over them as you increase speed (step harder on the pedal). (Maybe they all work this way, I don't know this is the first golf cart I have owned.) For some reason the stationary contacts are varying heights, so that the moveable contact gets hung up, causing the pedal to stick, creating some harrowing
golf cart rides. I notice the moveable contact is worn at an angle also, and maybe this is part of the problem too. Can I "adjust" the stationary contacts, like with a file? Or what is the best way to fix this problem? Thanks for any help anyone can give me.
