Having worked at a motorcycle shop in the late 70's early 80's and seeing
the damage of the engines when the auto oiler malfunctions I understand
your freinds choice to premix his gas that way he knows its getting oil to
the topend and crank bearings and plus now with all these synthetic oils
you can run a higher ratio some as high as 100:1 meaning more gas=more
power...If these where set up like outboard boat engines that have buzzers
when the oil tank is low or when the pump stops working then the oiler pump
would be a great way to go... just my $.02 Todd
