You need your batteries tested to see if they need replacing. Letting them sit for 6 months encourages sulfating of the lead plates...running the batteries down where you can feel it running slow and weak sulfates the plates too. Heavily sufated plates cannot make or hold as much amperage as they did when new .... likely you just need new batteries. An automotive charge will not help this situation.... To test recharge. Let them sit 12 hours and test the specific gravity of each cell with a good arrow and dial type hydrometer....
