You may have oil getting into the pulse line from the engine to the fuel pump. If the line sags down anywhere it can collect oil which will block the pulse from getting to the pump.
If the oil is overfilled it can cause a similar issue. Or if the pulse nipple is clogged in the engine it can cause problems.
Check the oil level. If it’s high, drain some out.
Check to make sure the pulse hose runs uphill the whole way. Make sure the pulse nipple is not clogged with crud, use a small screwdriver or straight pick to clear any junk out of it.
Carry a spare spark plug with you, and if the cart dies pull the plug wire off and stick the spare put in, then crank the motor and verify that there is strong white/blueish spark. If spark is dim/yellowish or is not consistent, or starts out strong and then gets weak, then the igniter coil is likely failing.
