If the 4ga cable currently going through the OBC is in good shape, your best option is to leave it in place instead of installing a 2ga + stud.

A section of 2 foot converted from 4ga to 2ga will have a negligible effect on the cart.

You will only reduce the voltage drop by 0.02v per 100 amps of current flowing through that cable.

You are more likely to introduce a bigger voltage drop by adding extra terminals and a non-copper segment.

For reference the typical controller introduces 5x to 10x more losses per 100 amps.
