Have a 2002 TXT. The cast aluminum? uprights that hold the top supports, basket and bag holder etc., are flaking the factory paint or powdercoating.

Since they are a fairly intricate piece, what is the best way to refinish them? I'd hate to paint them, only to have to redo them next year.
